HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR SPORTS EQUIPMENT?

Our tips for maintaining your technical outfits and making them last

This is a cry for help from your workout outfits… You know, the ones you lovingly chose to motivate you, boost you, make you feel good.

Today is the time to take care of them because they deserve it.

We're not blaming you, it's happened to all of us to do our light sports session and think that our outfit can be reused for the next day's session. Bad news, you should know that our superb outfits are breeding grounds for bacteria ! A dilemma, because they are also fragile textiles , so washing them too much could damage them... To remedy years of clothing abuse (yes, you are guilty), here are some tips to avoid breaking the law.

Tip #1: Wash them after each session

Wash your clothes after each workout. Your clothes are designed to absorb perspiration, which transfers germs directly into the garment, so there's no need to hesitate: wash them immediately after exercise.

Tip #2: Wash them separately, in a net bag

If possible, wash your sportswear separately from the rest of your laundry. To avoid over-washing, simply place your clothes in a net bag. This will keep them from getting tangled up with the rest of your laundry and prevent friction that can damage your delicate fabrics.

Tip #3: Say no to fabric softener

To prolong the life of your beautiful outfits, avoid fabric softener, as it will affect their moisture-wicking properties. Instead, use a gentle detergent. Pikoc laundry detergent is enriched with aloe vera, which will naturally soften your laundry. So, don't hesitate to choose your sportswear.

Tip #4: Choose the right program

Machine wash at 40°C maximum. And definitely do not tumble dry, as our outfits are made largely of elastane and this could accelerate the deterioration of your garment.
