That's it, your laundry is freshly washed. Last step before you can finally put on your deliciously scented clothes: drying.
Dryer enthusiasts in general, or rather city dwellers - like us! -, we give you our tips for fragrant, quick, but above all effective drying .
THREE METHODS FOR DRYING YOUR LAUNDRY
The best way to dry your clothes is obviously in the open air! A soft late summer sun, the nearby windswept lavender field, glasses clinking in the distance...
But we agree, we are not all lucky enough to have a garden to dry our sheets and offer this natural freshness to our textiles, or simply to enjoy the sun all year round.
The second method is to hang your laundry inside your home.
But, unless you have a laundry room or a large property, this method is not the most practical if you do not want to have to zigzag between your favorite jeans and your sink to reach your bathtub. Moreover, if you use this means of drying - which will certainly perfume your interior -, do not forget to ventilate your interior frequently to avoid odors of humidity.
The last method will allow you to save time and space (yes, we assure you, you will no longer have to display your pilou-pilou pajamas to your friends coming to dinner!)
These are washer-dryers: it's an investment, but your decor will thank you.
OUR MINI INSTRUCTIONS FOR DRYERS
Drying has no more secrets for you and you have opted for a machine with drying powers. Here are our tips for carrying out your drying cycles:
- Spin your laundry manually, this will reduce the drying time.
- Choose the right program: “synthetic”, “cotton”, “intensive”, “delicate”, “wool”, or “ready to iron”… Select the one that best suits the types of clothes to be dried.
- Don't overload your drum. Prefer several short cycles rather than a long one and take advantage of the heat of a cycle to chain several.
- Be careful not to let the dryer run for too long, for ecological reasons but also for the well-being of your clothes.
- At the end of a cycle, always clean the filter.
After these steps you just have to iron - or not! if you're team crumpled clothes - and fold your laundry. Read our tutorial on how to organize your dressing room or cupboards .
